Hospice tea & style show is a success

Jacquie Humphrey
Staff Correspondent

Hospice’s second annual tea and style show went off without a hitch. The event was held May 4 at Our Lady of Mercy Church Hall in Carrollton.

Martha Jones chaired the event that sold out of tickets a week prior. Homemade mints (by Jenny Davidson) and cookies adorned the festively decorated tables, which were arranged by the names of flowers.

Finger sandwiches and tea were graciously served by a "who's who" of Carroll County’s male population, all handsomely dressed in their finest. Mr. John Schaffer took the mike as the master of ceremonies.

Clothing from Hospice’s Carroll County Browse and Buy were modeled by sixteen volunteers, who did a wonderful job promoting the garments that were available for purchase on the day of the event.

Volunteers are working on plans for the third annual tea, to be held next year.
