Hair donation is one of many ways teen helps community

FPS Staff Report

Becca Minor has a personal reason for getting her hair cut.

Becca is the captain of the OES Star Walker Relay Team and was the guest speaker at the annual Carroll County Relay for Life held this past weekend at the fairgrounds.

While looking through a magazine in the waiting room of her mother’s oncologist, she found an article about Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths.

All hair donated to this program is made into wigs and the wigs are donated to the American Cancer Society.  Becca’s mother, Jen, said, "I am so proud of my daughter.  She does so much to help others in the community."

Becca is a nine-year Girl Scout and will be a freshman this fall at Carrollton High School.

She enjoys choir and plays clarinet in the marching band.
Becca resides on Waynesburg Rd. with her parents, Don and Jen, and sister, Libby.
