Hospice Style Show & Tea scheduled for May 4

FPS staff report

Hospice of Carroll County to hold style show
Barb Bryant (sitting) and Norma Clark prepare for the Hospice of Carroll County Style Show and Tea.

Tickets are now on sale for "Diamonds in the Rough" Style Show and Tea scheduled for May 4.  This is the second year for the event, sponsored by Hospice of Carroll County volunteers.

The style show features some of the beautiful fashions donated to the local Browse & Buy resale shop located on 2nd St.  All clothing modeled will be available for sale following the show.  Special guest waiters will be on hand to serve during the tea.  Guests should bring their own tea cup.

The tea will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and will begin at 3 p.m.  Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased from any Hospice volunteer, at the Browse & Buy Store, The Welsh Horn or at the Hospice office on Trump Rd.  Tables of eight may be reserved by request.  Ticket sales deadline is April 25.  No tickets will be sold at the door.

The tea and style show, along with the annual talent show and rigatoni dinner are some of the ways Hospice of Carroll County volunteers provide for care of Hospice patients served by the Carrollton office.  Patients and their families are served regardless of their ability to pay.

The goal of Hospice is to create and maintain quality of life for persons who are terminally ill and their families.  A unique team approach provides on going assessment of the needs of the patient and family.
