Hi kids! I hope you are having a fun summer so far! I know that many of you are staying busy at the library with all the fun activities going on there! I see that they are having a blood drive today from 3-7 p.m. as part of this week’s projects. Why not check it out?
I was going to review a bug book for you this week, but since we just celebrated the Fourth of July, I decided to write about that holiday instead since it was fresh in your mind. As I see it, we don’t like to forget about our birthdays, why should we forget about the birthday of America?
Something else I liked about this book was that it is filled with old quotes that I grew up with! This was one of my favorites! “Yankee Doodle went to town, Riding on a pony, He stuck a feather in his cap, And called it Macaroni.” Now was that fun or what?
Until next time, learn as much as you can about the world around you!
Your friend,
Sherry
