Antique appraisal and ice cream social in Malvern

FPS staff report

“Many treasures can be found in our own basements, attics or cupboards,” according to Frances Montella, Malvern Historical Society treasurer.

“Take a good look at items like an heirloom vase you may have received from your grandmother or a watch or compass from your grandfather, an old toy, jewelry or documents,” Montella said.

Would you like to know what these items are worth?  The Historical Society is holding an Antique Appraisal and Ice Cream Social July 13 from 1-4 p.m.  The event will be held at the new gazebo next door to the Historical Society building on E. Porter St.

Appraiser Bill Gill from Kiko Auctions will do appraisals of antiques, heirlooms and other precious items.  The event is open to the public and individuals can have one item appraised for $3 or two items for $5.

The Historical Society will be selling Malvern Dairy Queen treats and bottled water.
