Dedication set for Malvern Habitat home

FPS staff report

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark and Carroll Counties will hold a dedication service April 2 at 7 p.m. in Trinity United Church of Christ in Canton for eight new homes.

Among the homes being dedicated is a home in Malvern, built in memory of R.C. and Tim Miller.  The home is sponsored by the family and friends of R.C. and Tim Miller and the Carroll County Foundation.

Construction on all eight homes began last fall, with each of the homeowners working approximately 300 hours building their home and the homes of others.  Each family will purchase their home with a zero-interest, no-profit mortgage.

Funding and labor to build these homes has been provided by area individuals, churches, businesses, foundations and organizations.

These eight families join more than 2,000 local individuals who now reside in safe affordable homes through the work of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark and Carroll Counties.
