Holiday fun planned at Arts Center

FPS staff report

The Carroll County Arts Center has a variety of activities scheduled for the month of December and into the New Year.

Paula & Donna will hold a card making class Dec. 6 beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Cost is $10 for three projects.  Pre-registration is required at 330-627-3739.

The “Brown Bag” concert series will feature sounds of the holiday season Wednesday at noon, Dec. 12 and 19.  No reservations are required.  Bring a sack lunch.

The Kidz Klass held the third Saturday of each month will begin at 10 a.m. and will be a study in three-dimensional art.  Registration required.  Children younger than third grade must have an adult present.

The Art for Everyone is Dec. 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  The “smART shopping night” for men only (women are permitted to attend) will feature a collection of artist’s items marked down.  Women can register for items they would like.  Gift certificates will also be available.

A Knitters Anonymous group meets the first Monday of each month at the Arts Center at 7 p.m.  It is not a class, just a group of people who like to knit, do counted cross-stick, crochet or any kind of needlework can gather for new ideas.  The group is free.

The Painters Group meets each Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Arts Center and is open to anyone who participates in any type of painting medium.  There is no cost and it is not a class, just a gathering.

The Carroll County Arts Center is located at 204 W. Main St., Carrollton.  Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday 1-8:30 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
