FPS staff report

Auditions for the annual Hospice of Carroll County Talent Show will be held Oct. 16 from 6-9 p.m. and Oct. 19 from 3-6 p.m.

Appointments to audition should be made with the Hospice of Carroll County office at 330-627-4796.  Auditions will be held at the Church of Christ, Christian Disciples located at 353 Moody Ave., Carrollton.  All types of performers are welcome to take part in the show “Sharing Our Home and Talent” which is scheduled for Nov. 8 at the Bell Herron Middle School.

Judges will pick winners in the junior and senior divisions and a “People’s Choice” will be selected by the audience.

A guest appearance of “Carroll County Grass” will open the evening of vocal and dance acts.  Tickets are $3 and children under five will be admitted free.  Tickets may be purchased from any Hospice of Carroll County volunteer or at the office on Trump Rd.   Tickets will be available the night of the show.  Door prizes are being provided by area businesses.

The talent show is the major fund raiser of Hospice of Carroll County’s volunteers and all money raised is used for patient care in the area.  Hospice of Carroll County is the only “local” hospice providing holistic care for terminally ill patients and their families.

The unique care is directed toward meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family.  Services are provided based on need.
