Members enjoy trolley rides

By Jacquie Humphrey
FPS Correspondent

The Conotton Creek Trail Committee decided at a recent meeting to have trolley rides Aug. 27 for committee members, family and friends. Rides began at 2 p.m. at the Scio Trail head.

Gordon Custer cleared an abundance of overhanging brush for trolley passage. Duck Zantene told members the building for the trolley would need to be enlarged if it is to also house the tractor.

A discussion was held regarding placement of signs to promote the trail. Earl Whiteman reported completion of a shelter at the 4-mile marker.

George Specht completed some trimming at the Bowerston end of the trail and Denny Kovarik did the same at the Jewett end. Kovarik reported three posts need replaced at the Jewett end.
