Park District board looking for trustee

FPS staff report

Looking for a banquet facility?

The Board of Trustees of the Carroll County Park District is making facilities at the Bluebird Farm Park available for rent for public and private events.

The Bluebird Restaurant is available for gatherings of up to 30 guests on the second floor and 24 on the third floor, 24 on the outdoor deck and 17 on the second floor porch. All spaces can be rented with or without the use of the kitchen. Fees are on a per-capita basis by the number of guests. There is an additional fee for the use of the kitchen facilities and a security deposit is required.

The Banquet Room above the Toy Museum will accommodate 45 and the Garden Room in the lower level will seat 30. This room overlooks a beautiful landscaped garden, making it a suitable space for small weddings.

For an additional per capita charge, The Toy Museum can be opened with a curator to give a talk about the various toys on display.

The Amphitheater is also available for outdoor performances, weddings, and class or family reunions. A public address system is available.

For additional information on facility rentals please call the Bluebird Park Manager at 330-627-7980. Leave a short message and he will contact you.

Bluebird Farm is open to the public from dawn to dusk for hiking and enjoying the many trails and gardens throughout the park. Picnic tables are set up on either side of the restaurant for those who want to bring their lunch, eat outside and enjoy the summer weather. Leashed pets are permitted on all grounds and trails.

Currently there is an opening on the parks board for a trustee to help guide the future development of the county park district.

Interested persons should submit a letter of intent or resume to the Board of Trustees, 190 Alamo Rd., Carrollton, OH 44615 for consideration by Aug. 24, 2009.
