Benefit dinner, concert planned for transplant recipient

FPS staff report

A benefit spaghetti dinner and concert is planned for April 18 for Dellroy resident Nadine Bentley.

Bentley was diagnosed with leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant from a family member in July 2008.  She was making weekly trips to Columbus for check-ups following the transplant.  Bentley said she is doing well, reports the transplant “took” and she is considered in remission.

Bentley and husband, Todd live on Avalon Rd., Dellroy and have three children, Brett Hubbard of Columbus, Jason Hubbard of Akron and Kristin Bentley of Dellroy.

The Dellroy Ruritans will serve dinner from 4-6:30 p.m.  Pioneer Spirit will perform from 6:45-8 p.m.  The dinner and concert will be held at Dellroy Nazarene Church.

Proceeds will help Bentley with medical expenses.
