The Carroll County Caregiver Coalition is accepting nominations for Carroll County Caregiver of the Year.
The award is given to show how much caregivers do for their loved ones; many of them taking time away from their jobs, families and activities they enjoy to care for someone else.
The Caregiver of the Year winner is chosen by a committee of people residing outside Carroll County. They are looking for the story which best shows what caregivers go through on a daily basis. The award will be announced and given at the annual Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon April 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Atwood Yacht Club. All nominees will be invited to the luncheon and given their framed nomination.
To nominate a caregiver, send the nominees written story, along with their name and address and your name and address to Area Agency on Aging, Region 9, 60788 Southgate Rd., Byesville, OH 43723, Attn: Laurel DuBeck, RN.
The criteria for nomination requires the caregiver to be unpaid and reside in Carroll County.
The person they are caring for may reside anywhere and be of any age. Deadline for submission is April 11.
Any in-home, unpaid caregiver residing in Carroll County is invited to the complimentary luncheon in April. The day will feature a complimentary meal for the caregiver and one guest. Entertainment, door prizes, relaxation stations and information from local agencies to help make the caregiving journey as easy as possible for the caregiver and their loved one will be featured.
The event is free but registration is required. To register for the luncheon or for more information, contact DuBeck at 800-932-7277, ext. 4719.
