Festival of Trees opens at McCook house

FPS staff report

The annual McCook House “Festival of Trees” begins Friday after Thanksgiving.

The festival will be held Nov. 27-29 and Dec. 4-6.  Hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. by donation. 

The annual Candlelight Tour will be Nov. 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  A total of 16 trees decorated by local organizations will be showcased.  Proceeds benefit the Carroll County Historical Society Scholarship Fund.

Items available for purchase include The Fighting McCooks book written by Charles and Barbara Whalen, apple butter, buckwheat pillows, flour, hooked rugs and other items.
