Coley’s Stag Reunion moves to new location

FPS staff report

Coley’s Stag Reunion - Same date, same time, but at a new location.

The 2012 Coley’s Stag Reunion will be held Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at its new permanent location, 921 Canton Rd., Carrollton, in the blue building at Long’s Lockup.  Long said the building recently constructed will house agriculture and farm equipment year-round except for one day when it will house Coley’s Stag Reunion.

The committee will honor the Silver Anniversary of the closing of the Stag Bar.

“It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years since we last enjoyed a cold beverage and a hot bowl of chili there,” committee members reminisced.  “The reunion committee will continue to strive to make this annual event better each year and with the support of the entire Cole family and you, true and loyal friends and patrons, this will carry on for generations.”

Along with Coley’s chili bowls for sale and an auction, a Cat’s Meow of Coley’s will be for sale.

All proceeds from this and future reunions will be used to provide the public with many memories and allow the continuation of scholarships to be awarded to Carrollton High School seniors.
