Arts Center holding fall photography workshop

FPS staff report

The Carroll County Arts Center is holding a Fall Photography Workshop Oct. 18 in the Atwood Lake Region.

The workshop will run from 1-5 p.m. and is for both beginning and intermediate photographers using film or digital cameras.

Professional photographer, Lee Faa, will provide both individual and group instruction.  Group lecture topics include composition, correct exposure, lens filters and lens choices.  Individual instruction includes learning how to use features of a camera and how to avoid common problems.  Advanced photographers will learn about experimenting with light conditions and macro photography.

The workshop will include time for participants to take photos and experiment with different techniques and time for questions and instruction.  All participants are invited to a presentation session Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Arts Center.  Workshop photos will be reviewed and critiqued by Faa. 

Workshop fee is $35 for Arts Center members and $40 for non-members. Those interested can register by calling 330-627-3739.

The Art Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
