A new session of Lyrical Dance-which incorporates jazz; ballet and modern dance-is starting at the Carroll County YMCA.
Sign up now for this program, which is held each Thursday evening at the YMCA. Classes are held at 5 p.m. for boys and girls two to four years old, and at 6 p.m. for those five to seven years old.
The Carroll County YMCA offers many great benefits to its members. Anytime the YMCA is open, members can use the wellness center and weight room. The wellness center contains three treadmills, three cross-trainers, a total body arc, recumbent bike, an aerodyne bike, 11 pieces of Cybex strength equipment and two televisions. Free weights up to 120 pounds, benches and a cable machine make up the weight room. Showers and locker facilities are available. Childwatch, for kids ages one to seven, Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m., is free to members. Members receive unlimited free fitness classes which include low- and high-impact aerobics, kidfit, Pilates, senior strength, yoga and Zumba. Members also receive special discounted programming rates for both children and adults in classes such as archery, gymnastics, tae kwon do, dance, volleyball, basketball, outdoor adventure and self-defense for women. The Carroll County YMCA turns away no one because of an inability to pay. Donations through the Strong Kids Campaign make this possible. One hundred percent of any money donated stays in Carroll County to help Carroll County families. Please call 330-627-9622 to make a donation or inquire about membership rates. |
