“A Slice of Paradise” is an event scheduled for June 6-8 at Atwood Lake Resort outside Dellroy.
The three-day event, sponsored by The Legends Foundation, is an occasion for business and community leaders to honor Dave Robinson, 2013 Professional Football Hall of Fame inductee, mingle with some of the pros, and recognize achievements of The Legends Foundation. Other professionals on hand include Sam Rutigliano, Anthony Griggs, Don Crockroft, Bubby Brister, Michael Merriwether, Tony Jeter, Frency Fuqua, Craig Bingham, Marv Kelluem, and more.
Proceeds from the event will provide free NFL football camp for kids and benefit Toys for Tots.
Following a multi-course VIP dinner June 6 at Atwood Lake Resort, guests will hear from pros who made it to the highest level with choices they made, dedication, team spirit, work out habits and a desire to win.
Tickets are $60 per person and include door prizes and raffles with other pro players participating. Doors are open 5:30-10 p.m. Dinner is served at 6 p.m.
Guests can cruise the 1,500 acre Atwood Lake June 7 with the “Knot a Yacht/Red Feather Boat Rides with Pro’s.” Tickets are limited and $30 per person. Boats leave from the West Marina at noon.
A “Meet & Greet” will be held later that night at the Resort from 6:30-9 p.m. Robinson’s book will be available for purchase, along with autographs. Cost is $40 per person; autographs are limited to two per person. Other professionals will be on hand also.
Those wishing to participate
can play 18 holes of golf at Wilkshire County Club in Bolivar and have a picture taken with Robinson and others June 8. Cost is $80 per person or $300 for a foursome. Lunch and beverages will be provided. Tee times start at 11:28 a.m. Spectators can purchase a ticket for $20 to watch golf with the pros.
