Get ready for prom, help a cancer victim

FPS staff report

High school girls and a four year cancer survivor will benefit from a dress resale event April 18 from 2-4 p.m. at Minerva High School.

With proms  just around the corner, Grace Chapel is sponsoring an event that may make it possible for more girls to attend their proms,  “Formal-ly Yours”, a formal/prom dress resale. Dresses of different lengths and styles will be priced $50 and under with cash or checks accepted.  Simple alterations will be available during the sale.

To help make this resale a huge success, Grace Chapel is looking for donations from the community.  Dresses of all sizes (including flower girl dresses), shoes, jewelry, wraps, purses, etc., are being accepted.

If you have items you would like to donate, drop them off at Grace Chapel, 22797 Ellsworth Ave., Minerva, Monday - Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. by April 15.  If you have questions or are unable to deliver your items between those times please call 330-868-6700 or email: info@grace chapelohio.com.

All proceeds from this resale will benefit 8-year-old Hallie Barnes and her family.  Since the age of four, Hallie has battled a rare form of cancer.  Over the years she has endured surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
