Women’s Club to host luncheon

By Jacquie Humphrey
FPS Correspondent

At the recent meeting of the Bowerston Women’s Club, the group made plans to host an after church soup and sandwich luncheon March 8.

The luncheon will be held at Bowerston’s Trinity Methodist Church from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with proceeds going to the club’s annual scholarship drive for Conotton Valley seniors. Further information on this event will be released at a later date.

The group discussed the first highway cleanup of the year, scheduled for April 21, with participating members meeting at the village’s B&B Carryout at 5:30 p.m.

In other business the annual style show was contemplated and present members decided to determine whether or not to proceed with plans for 2009 at the March meeting.

The annual election of officers will be held at the March meeting, all members are encouraged to attend. This meeting will be held at the Bowerston Public Library March 3 at 7:30 p.m.
