Winners of the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen Contests were honored at a dinner at Carrollton VFW Post on Chase Rd. near Carrollton.

Patriot’s Pen winners are seated in front.  From left are Paige Reed, daughter of Chad and Cynthia Reed of Dellroy; Ryan Wiltfang, son of Gordonna Wiltfang of Carrollton; and Cale Pozderac, son of Joe and Lisa Pozderac of Carrollton.  All three are students at Bell-Herron Middle School, where Wiltfang is in the eighth grade and Pozderac and Reed are seventh grade students.

Standing behind is Toby Davis, commander (left) and Bill Moore, chaplain (far right), along with Voice of Democracy winners, Taylor Thompson, son of Marj Thompson of Carrollton and Nick Torian, son of Cynthia Torian of Carrollton.  Both are students at Carrollton High School where Thompson is a senior and Torian is a junior. 

Elizabeth Glasure, daughter of Stephanie Glasure and John Glasure, both of Carrollton, a junior at Carrollton High School and Voice of Democracy winner, was absent when the photo was taken.
